The much-anticipated God of War: Ragnarok is out now, causing quite a stir in the gaming world.
As fans eagerly await the sequel to the 2018 mega-hit, the question on everyone’s mind is when they will finally embark on the next epic journey of Kratos and Atreus.
The gaming world is buzzing with rumors, teasers, and speculation. The promise of a breathtaking Norse mythology adventure from Sony’s Santa Monica studio only adds to the excitement.
Gamers worldwide are counting down the days, eager to witness the “Ragnarok” chaos in this legendary franchise, even though the exact PC release date remains a mystery.
The action-adventure game God of War Ragnarok was made by Santa Monica Studios and put out by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It can be played on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, making it the first God of War game to be released on both consoles.
It is the ninth game in the series and the follow-up to God of War, which came out in 2018. The game is loosely based on Norse folklore in ancient Scandinavia. The main characters are Quintus and his son Atreus, who is now a teenager. The game ends the Norse era of the series. It is about the “Twilight of the Gods,” the most important end-of-the-world event in Norse legend, and it shows what will happen after Quetus kills the god Baader of Asa in the previous game.
The developer has confirmed that God of War Ragnarok has a release date on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. You can order your copy from sites like GAME.
It came out on PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022.
Many fans, myself included, have had an amazing time seeing how the story of Kratos and his son Atreus continues after the brilliant reboot in 2018. The best way to play that first game is probably on PC now, even though everyone knows God of War is a PlayStation-exclusive series. But the port was great and made a fantastic game even better.
Let’s start with the news that makes the most sense: God of War Ragnarok could be coming to PC. But to be clear, that’s not guaranteed, as the port has yet to be announced. We’ll explain why it’s likely in a minute. But let’s first see what the public has to say about it. Game Informer inquired about a PC port of Twilight of the Gods with series co-creator and reboot’s 2018 director Cory Barlog.
It was soon after the first game came out on Steam. He was very secretive about everything.
That’s not very encouraging in hindsight. But we’re still confident that God of War Ragnarok will come to PC. Why? First of all, because Sony is still in the process of porting all the major games to PC, it’s just going to take a while.

God of War Ragnarök is a third-person action-adventure game. It features an over-the-shoulder player-controlled camera, and the game is presented with no camera cuts or loading screens. The gameplay is similar to God of War’s previous installment (2018), including being single-player-only. Throughout the game, players fight Norse mythological enemies. There are more enemies than in the last game, including new ones like einherjar, wyverns, stalkers (creatures that look like centaurs but have horns), phantoms, human raiders, and nokkens. The game was also made more interesting by adding more mini-bosses.
God of War: Ragnarok is available on the PlayStation Store for £59.99 on the PS4 and £69.99 on the PS5.
(However, we can now see it slightly cheaper on Amazon.)
One thing to note: If you buy the PS4 version first and then want to upgrade to the PS5 version, you can pay a £10 upgrade fee.
Or, if you’re willing to spend a little more, the Digital Deluxe Edition costs £80 and comes with an assortment of digital goods.
Of course, you may find the occasional small offer or discount if you shop around. For example, Amazon has reduced the price of the two main releases by five pounds.
Remember that God of War Ragnarok has a file size of about 100 GB on PS5 and 119 GB on PS4, so you may want to clear some space before downloading the game. There’s also a day-one patch you will want to take advantage of.
While many actors are set to reprise their roles from the previous game, God of War: Ragnarok will also introduce some fresh talent to the mythological world. The two main characters – of course – will be represented by the same actors as the last game (Christopher Judge returns as Kratos and Sunny Suljic as Atreus), and the following actors join them:
● Freya – Danielle Bisutti
● Thor – Ryan Hurst
● Odin – Richard Schiff
● Angrboda – Laya Hayes
● Tyr – Ben Prendergast
● Mimir – Alastair Duncan
● Sindri – Adam Harrington
● Brok – Robert Craighead
● Durlin – Usman Ally
That’s all we know about God of War Ragnarok so far.
In conclusion, the release date for “God of War: Ragnarok” remains a closely guarded secret, fueling both anticipation and speculation among fans.
