Tokyo Revengers Arc is a crazy story!
Accompanying this post is good news: October will see the release of its anime, Tenjiku Arc!
Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga and its anime adaptation have been critically acclaimed. That said, they’ve also attracted some criticism.
But with my own experience of reading the manga for years, this anime adaptation from the manga is still worth watching.
If you’re also an anime fan, take some time to enjoy this anime. Of course, you can also read my article before deciding whether or not to watch it.
In this guide, I will organize ALL the sagas and arcs for you.
Without further ado, check it out.
The arc that started the whole story of Tokyo Revengers.
We had the main character, Hanagaki Takemichi, coming in front of the “train-kun” after getting pushed by one of his closest friends.
This act started the whole time travel thing by which Takemichi was sent to the past to UNO and reversed everything to save the love of his life, Hinata Tachibana.
Twelve years into the past, Takemichi comes across Toman, the gang responsible for Hinata’s death. It marked the story’s entrance into gang life.
This arc also marked the beginning of fights in broad daylight, and then I realized that this story would be really good.
This arc began a new conflict between Toman and a gang named Moebius. Takemichi’s mission was to save the life of Draken.
We learned about Pah-chin (3rd division captain of Toman) and Peh-yan, along with the heinous deeds of Moebius. In this arc, we saw what a gang meeting was like and how Mikey spoke to his men and motivated them to fight.
We saw how Takemichi was desperate to stop the fight between Toman and Moebius as he had to save Draken.
We also witnessed the “Invincible” Mikey’s strength. The moment when he beat Osanai (Moebius’s leader) with a kick showed how much of a badass Mikey was.
A point to note was that this arc showcased how close Mikey was with his gang members like Pah-chin, who had decided to turn himself in after stabbing Osanai.
This arc introduced another important character in the story: Hanma Shuji.
This arc was the highlight of season 1, and why not? This arc had it all:-
● Drama
● Tragic Backstory
● Betrayal
● Fighting
● Gang politics
● Planning
● Death!
We got to see Baji in action now, as he was the focus of this whole arc. My favorite character in the story, Kazutora, was introduced. Also, Kisaki was now in the picture. So we knew this arc would be good and didn’t disappoint.
I was shocked when I read the tragic backstory and the truth of Mikey’s brother’s death. It was unfortunate to know how he died at the hands of Kazutora, Mikey’s friend, and how he snapped and blamed Mikey for everything was a roller coaster ride.
It increased the complexity of Kazutora’s character.
We learned that Baji was a double agent and was faking everything, as Chifuyu, the best boy, knew already. Kisaki’s plan was also revealed: To be the vice commander of Toman.
The main highlight of this arc was the battle of Bloody Halloween: Toman vs. Valhalla. What a battle that was! Those manga chapters were insane.
We witnessed Draken’s true power, Kazutora with a metal pipe, the demon mode Mikey, Hanma being a punching bag, Kisaki’s mastermind plan, and Baji’s badass entry. It’s a pure adrenaline rush!
The most tragic thing in this arc was the death of the fan’s favorite character, Baji Keisuke. It was great to see that Kazutora redeemed himself after seeing Baji committing suicide to save him. Man, What a legend!
What an arc!
Finally, the true potential of Takemichi was realized. But if you think this was the pinnacle of Takemichi’s character development, you are wrong!
The highlight of this arc was the fight between the Black Dragons and Toman in the church, where characters like Mitsuya and Takemichi showed amazing courage and will to fight.
In this arc as a whole, Takemichi’s character did way better than in the previous arcs, but other than him, a new character established himself as a great villain.
It is the best arc in the whole story.
This arc had everything: A plethora of characters, some new faces, brilliant one-on-one fights, legendary entrances, new abilities, new fighting moves, a lot of pain, and, of course, Takemichi’s greatness.
I thought the Black Dragons arc would be where Takemichi’s true potential was shown, but I was wrong!
Tenjiku arc brought Takemichi into a new light and showcased his never-giving-up behavior, which sent chills down my spine when I read the manga panels.
Arguably, this is the most hated arc or the most “unwanted” arc in the whole story. The arc talks about Mikey’s dark impulsivity in great detail.
Being the story’s final arc, this has to end on a big note, and it isn’t going in that direction as of now. Much stuff still needs to be addressed regarding the darkness inside Mikey.
According to me, it is also the arc that addressed “the rise and fall of Mikey.” Many fans started to hate Mikey in this arc, and they have a complete right to do so.
Anyways, at the start of this arc, it had a lot of big moments, including the unfortunate death of the fan-favorite character, Draken.
It is noteworthy that the Final Arc is further split into the Three Deities Arc and the Kanto Manji Arc, which account for 72 chapters.
Tokyo Revengers isn’t letting up. After bringing a new season to life this year, all eyes are on the future. The next arc of Tokyo Revengers is gearing up for its television debut, and now we have been given a first look at the anime’s take on the Tenjiku arc.
Yes, that is right. The fifth arc of Tokyo Revengers is getting ready to take over the anime fandom. The Tenjiku arc is slated to hit the small screen this October as Disney+ and Hulu will exclusively stream the release. So, if you need to catch up on Tokyo Revengers, we suggest you start watching ASAP!
If you are not familiar with this arc of Tokyo Revengers, you should know the Tenjiku arc is wild. This saga follows the downfall of Toman after Mikey wiped out the division. A power vacuum is created after Toman’s destruction, giving rise to the Tenjiku gang. The gang from Yokohama throws all of Japan’s gang culture into chaos as sects start falling like dominoes. So, of course, it falls to Mikey and Takemichi to navigate this new threat in their own way.
New cast members for the anime include:
● Nobunaga Shimazaki as Izana Kurokawa
● Tetsu Inada as Kanji Mochizuki
● Seiichirō Yamashita as Kakucho
● Kouki Uchiyama as Shion Madarame
● Daisuke Namikawa as Ran Haitani
● Hiro Shimono as Rindo Haitani
Tokyo Revengers Arcs is indeed an anime that is worth making a watch. There are tons of interesting storylines in it, and you may not be able to accept some of its later plot developments, but overall, the quality of this anime is good.
So, go ahead and watch it with boldness and confidence. You will be rewarded with surprises. For example, an attractive anime character.
